Bodywork/massage sessions are conducted at the client’s home. Prices include travel and gas within 15 miles from my home in West Seattle. Travel beyond this will require added cost.
Prices do not include massage table set up or linens. If you want me to set up a massage table with my linens in your home, I kindly ask for an additional $25 per session to account for time and energy spent transporting the table and washing linens. If using your own linens, I recommend a twin fitted and flat sheet and a twin blanket that you don’t mind getting oil on.
Tips are kindly NOT accepted. All rates are priced to reflect the value of my education and experience, the quality of the materials used, and amount of energy exchanged
All oils are organic, 100% plant based, and ethically, sustainably sourced. No synthetic fragrances or additives!
Bodywork Sessions: $175/$225/$275
60, 90, or 120 min options. A holistic, nurturing approach can be expected, whether clients are seeking relaxation or treatment focused work to address root causes of pain, tension, stress, anxiety, or physical limitations. Jennifer is uniquely fluid in her incorporation of Chinese Meridian Cupping & Gua Sha, dry brushing (garshana), Ayurvedic massage (Abhyanga), and Ayurvedic Marma therapy (acupressure), tuning fork, and grounding nervous system techniques, while using organic Ayurvedic herbal oils based on the client’s needs. Each session will benefit clients on a physical and energetic level, perhaps even emotionally and spiritually. Her hands provide a gentle touch, whereas the cups and gua sha tools can target the deeper tissues and issues, if desired. I tailor each session to meet you where you are and provide what you need.
A note about Ayurvedic massage: ABHYANGA is a traditional, full-body Ayurvedic massage using warm herbal oil that is selected specifically to support the individual and the season. Unique, rhythmic strokes are paired with stimulation of Ayurvedic energy points (marma) to create this deeply nourishing and nurturing therapy, benefiting each of the doshas (mind-body energy patterns). Improves circulation, supports the nervous system, and restores intelligence to your systems, helping to relieve anxiety, stress, insomnia, grief, and/or pain. Also available with 2 practitioners (tandem abhyanga) to elevate your experience with 4 nurturing hands: $225 for 60 min (please email me to book a session with 2 practitioners).
A note about Ayurvedic dry brushing: GARSHANA is a traditional, invigorating Ayurvedic practice designed to exfoliate the outer skin, move lymph (improving immunity & detoxifcation), improve circulation, increase energy, and alkalize the blood. Skillfully scrubbing the body with raw silk gloves creates static electricity, which has been shown to create ozone in the tissues below the skin’s surface. This conversion from O2 to O3 reduces acidity in the blood, which is becoming ever more important as a means to preventing or reversing disease of all kinds. Garshana is particularly suited for kapha-dominant people or those with kapha imbalances, such as water retention/edema, respiratory congestion, and/or sluggish digestion. It can also benefit most people when done during the Kapha season (late Winter and Spring), and is a beautiful preparation for oil massage/abhyanga to follow. If interested I can also offer a brief demo for clients who wish to make this a self-care ritual at home.
Initial Ayurvedic Wellness Consult: $250
90 min IN-PERSON or VIRTUAL consult to determine your current imbalances and your unique mind-body needs. Using the ancient and holistic Ayurvedic system we will thoughtfully address any concerns, symptoms, or goals you have by getting to the root of the issue(s), offering a realistic and personalized wellness plan to include: nutrition (a nourishing, individualized paradigm), lifestyle, Ayurvedic herbs, aligning with your circadian rhythm, daily routines, breathing techniques (pranayama), meditation, and/or body work/therapies. These first steps will be rooted in increasing your awareness surrounding the choices (whether conscious or unconcious) that you make throughout the day, and helping you identify the things that will either support or hinder your path towards balance, ease, and joy.
Follow-up Ayurvedic Wellness Consult: $75 - $150
30 or 60 min IN-PERSON or VIRTUAL consult to offer continued guidance as your mind-body starts to shift and heal after incorporating some of the initial recommendations. As you evolve, so will your Ayurvedic plan. Creating new patterns and adressing root causes take curiosity, self-devotion, and time...healing is layered, and non-linear. Follow-up visits will keep you on track, provide motivation and support, and allow me to offer adjustments to your plan as layers of imbalance are peeled away. Most follow-ups are 60 minutes, but occasionally 30 min will suffice.
Pranayama Consult: $75/$100
60 min IN-PERSON or VIRTUAL consult to recommend and teach an individualized pranayama routine (breath practice) aimed to address current imbalances or discomfort, such as stress, anxiety, depression, insomnia, low energy, endocrine dysfunction, or anything else that doesn’t quite feel right. Experienced clients might be served well with just one session, and beginners will likely need additional sessions to build on the foundational techniques. 30 min follow-ups are available if technique review is needed ($50). Prana, or life force, is carried on the breath, so by altering our breath, we can shift this energy from stagnant places or redirect its flow to establish a more vibrant and vital state. I believe pranayama is essential on any healing path, and sometimes just an increase in breath awareness is enough to tip the scale toward balance rather than dis-ease. Where attention goes, energy flows. And when energy is flowing, then stagnation, inflammation, and pain (physical and emotional) may be invited to let go of their patterns.
