<image:title>Home - “ Never have I felt more cradled in the arms of compassion than in the care of Jennifer. I worked with her during a complex illness, and in the depths of disease she helped me to access a source of vitality and strength existing at the core of my being. Jennifer has truly found her calling as a healer and I am immensely grateful for the profound therapeutic transformation I experienced under her highly attuned and sensitive care.”</image:title>

<image:title>About - Jennifer LeValley is an Ayurvedic Practitioner and Licensed Massage Therapist. She graduated with a B.S. in Psychology and a minor in Biology from Virginia Tech, and earned her M.S. in Ayurvedic Sciences from Bastyr University. The master’s curriculum included 1.5 years of clinical experience and an externship at the Rajiv Gandhi Government Post Graduate Ayurvedic Hospital and College in Paprola, India. She is particularly interested in using the ancient wisdom of Ayurveda to address digestive issues and stress, as these factors are the root causes in most imbalance and disease. Having used Ayurveda to help restore her own health and vitality following a serious GI infection she was inspired to help others build and maintain their TRUE HEALTH in order to prevent or manage disease. In Ayurveda true health is described as being “seated in the self,” and is expressed as a balanced body, mind, and spirit. Jennifer believes that this balance shapes and strengthens the awareness we each need to become fully and beautifully actualized within ourselves and our communities. Ultimately, the entire world benefits when individuals seek this dynamic balance. In addition to her formal education Jennifer completed an apprenticeship with Cedar Mountain Herbalism School. In her spare time, Jennifer explores the teachings of Yoga, the great outdoors, and getting lost and found in live music and dance. She is grateful to be living in Seattle, Washington with her husband and son.</image:title>

<image:title>Bodywork</image:title>
<image:caption>Jennifer brings a holistic approach to every bodywork session, whether clients are seeking relaxation or treatment focused work. She is uniquely fluid in her incorporation of Chinese Meridian Cupping & Gua Sha, Ayurvedic massage, Swedish massage, and Ayurvedic Marma therapy (acupressure), while using organic Ayurvedic herbal oils based on the client’s needs. Each session will benefit clients on a physical and energetic level, perhaps even emotionally and spiritually. Her hands provide a gentle touch, whereas the cups and gua sha tools can target the deeper tissues and issues. Jennifer intuitively meets her clients where they are, working to address the root cause of pain, tension, stress, or limitation. To support the important work done during bodywork sessions, she encourages each client to continue the healing evolution at home, illuminating small but effective ways that they can enhance their well-being between sessions. Clients might receive home care suggestions such as breathing exercises (pranayama), stretches, yoga poses (asanas), or practical adjustments to their daily routine or postural patterns. This empowers her clients to take healing into their own hands and helps them to establish or build mind-body awareness. She believes that this awareness is necessary on the path towards true health. She is excited to work WITH her clients and their goals, as an encouraging, nurturing, and receptive healing partner.</image:caption>

<image:title>Ayurveda - AYURVEDA</image:title>
<image:caption>“Ayurveda comprehensively illuminates the basic laws and principles governing life on Earth. To understand Ayurveda is to understand the forces that engender our well-being as well as those that lie at the root of disease.” -Dr. Vasant Lad, “The Science of Self-Healing” Ayurveda is a traditional and holistic medical system originating in India ~5000 years ago. It addresses every part of our being: mind, body, and spirit, as the health of one part affects the health of the others. Ayurveda translates to mean the “study” or “science” of “life” or “daily living.” This comprehensive model for understanding health empowers each person to take charge of their own health and vitality, as this wisdom and ability, though maybe forgotten, is innate to each of us. Though genetics and oppressive cultural and economic systems absolutely affect our health, we can make conscious daily choices that can either support or further hinder true health; and Ayurveda not only gives us a road map for these choices, but it also works to cultivate the awareness and clarity needed to make them. As an energetic science Ayurveda looks at the qualities, or gunas, expressed in each person’s individual mind-body constitution, as well as their imbalanced state, to determine what the issues are and how to address them, so that the root cause is addressed, instead of simply masking symptoms. The Ayurvedic framework suggests that most disease begins in the gut. If your digestive fire (or agni) is weakened, or your microbiome is out of balance, then you will struggle to digest, absorb, and assimilate the food, beverages, and even thoughts, feelings, and experiences that you consume, into beneficial material and energy. <image:title>Jennifer LeValley - Jennifer owes her beloved teachers endless thanks for the invaluable wisdom, time, and energy they kindly offered her while in formal training. They each continue to inspire her in how to be an effective practitioner of the healing arts, as well as an empathic, loving human being on this sacred Earth, which, in her opinion, are one in the same. Offering immense gratitude to Dr. Vasant Lad, Jiwan Shakti, Dr. Bill Dean, Dr. Brigid Lunder, K. P. Khalsa, Dr. Dhaval Dhru, and Terry Hallmark.</image:title>
